Q. How big is the maze?
Answer: Just under 4 acres. Most people usually finish the large maze in under an hour.If you’re concerned about the amount of time it will take, rest assured that our corn cops in the crow’s nest will help you find the exit in a timely fashion if you desire.
Q. What if I get lost?
Answer: Well, we hope you do! Groups are always requested to carry a flag with them that our corn cop in the crow’s nest can see. So you may be lost, but we know where you are all the time! Our knowledgeable staff is always ready to give assistance in the maze and…don’t forget, you have your passport with questions to help you through!
Q. How do you make the maze?
Answer: It takes practice and patience… and lots of both! We hand cut the maze in the spring when the corn is short and then maintain the paths all summer long. The design is created by The Maize Company, the largest designer in the world. They take our theme and design it on a computer and then send it to us on a detailed grid.
Q. Can we bring our own food?
Answer: Certainly! We do have food available on the grounds but please feel to bring your own picnic lunch. On the weekends, picnic tables are on a first come/first serve basis. If you need to reserve them – please check our groups & parties page for more details.
Q. Do you have rain checks?
Answer: No, but you can check at the ticket booth as you leave to see if they will give you a return voucher for a future date. Groups are encouraged to consider a rain-date when planning their visit since weather is a key factor.
