Alocasia

Alocasia plants (a.k.a. Elephant ears) are pretty low maintenance. They are one of the most adaptable plants when it comes to lighting. They can handle low light to indirect bright light. If you want your plant to grow quicker and produce more leaves, keep it in an area where it will receive plenty of indirect bright light. If you’re placing your plant outdoors during warmer seasons, protect it by placing it in partial shade.

Alocasia needs consistent moisture, but they like to dry out between waterings. We don’t recommend watering unless the top few inches of the plant soil is dry. Choose loose, nutrient-rich soil that can retain moisture. This type of soil will work for all alocasia varieties. This plant benefits from regular fertilization during its growing season.

Attention all pet owners: Alocasia is toxic to pets.
