Summertime Fun on the Farm

Come to the farm for some good old-fashioned summertime fun! Explore the wonders of winged beauties and caterpillars at the Butterfly House. Take a whirl on our Historic Carousel and get a glimpse of Virginia’s rich history! Pick a bouquet of beautiful farm-fresh flowers as you meander through our NEW No-Left-Hand-Turn Maze. Whoosh down our giant slides! Savor a scoop (or two) of homemade ice cream and other tasty treats from the Country Store.

More Activities: Rubber Duck Races, Corn Cave, Rat Racers, Jackie’s Believe-It-or-Not, and the children’s play area.

Hug-a-Bug Day Camp

What fun! Day camps at the farm! They are specifically developed for kids ages 5-8. Just one morning each 9am-noon . Spend a morning learning about bugs and butterflies and making butterfly crafts. We focus on native butterflies and plants that attract them! Camp includes a visit to the Butterfly House, take-home crafts, net and observation cage — and snacks. Three dates to choose from. Space is limited.

Wednesdays – June 14, 21 & 28

Junior Farmer Day Camp

Join us to learn about the life of a farmer … or two! Learn what Farmers Gary and Lynn Hess do on the farm; you’ll see their special equipment, meet favorite animals, learn about daily chores, and more.  There are special barnyard crafts and outdoor activities — it’s a good mix of learning and playing. We provide snacks, like homemade ice cream.  Three dates to choose from! Space is limited

Thursdays – June 15, 22 & 29
9am-noon
Ages 5-8
Fee: $35
